Just like all other things, you can fuel productivity using food. When you take care of your well-being and overall health, you will be able to tackle your work tasks with ease and boost your problem-solving skills. Nutrition is your first line of battle when it comes to increasing these kinds of abilities. When it comes to nutrition, health, and fitness, it’s important to note that it’s all about daily, consistent habits. So, when you take a look at some of these nutrition rules that we’ll talk about below, keep in mind that you should adhere to them daily, not just when you feel like it. Only then will you start feeling the miraculous effects of a healthy diet.

Start by Controlling the Sugar Monster

We are always in a dilemma about which diet style and what’s best to eat. Sometimes this will cause confusion in your mind, make it difficult to form habits and you will just give up. If you don’t know what’s best to eat, at least you know what not to eat. That’s the best place to start, by removing bad foods first.

Sugar is a silent but persistent killer. It has been proven to have dangerous and harmful effects on your health and well-being over time. Even if it feels good in the here and now, the consequences of eating sugar every day will start showing soon.

For this very reason removing sugar from your diet is the best place to start, and is perhaps the most important nutrition rule!

hydrate-for-health

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!

Hydration is the golden nutrition rule of daily goals. We already know the drill: you should drink 8 glasses of water each day. However, when you’re busy at work and focused on other things, how can you prioritize drinking water? The simplest tactic that usually does the trick is just to keep a bottle of water somewhere near your line of sight. This way, you’ll be more likely to remember the need to hydrate. Out of sight, out of mind! And make yourself crave it more by infusing it with fruits and herbs.

Increase Vitamin E Intake

If you’re having trouble focusing, it’s likely because your vitamin E levels are low. Troubles with concentration are a real difficulty at work or when you’re a student and can be seriously detrimental to your productivity. Luckily, vitamin E can be found in some of the tastiest foods, which you can easily introduce to your diet to increase productivity:

∙        coffee

∙        eggs

∙        dark chocolate

∙        nuts

∙        banana

∙        green tea

People who work in front of a computer can especially benefit from increased vitamin E intake. Productivity and motivation are also connected to the amount of workload you have. Green Is Always In

Even though we are taught to “eat our vegetables” from a very young age, it’s still hard for many of us to implement this simple rule. The easiest way is to start small. Start by eating one cucumber today, maybe in a salad. Start with a small, easy step- a step that’s so easy it requires the smallest amount of willpower and effort.

Maybe the first thought in your head is: “I don’t like (pick your vegetable).” Well, the really good thing about vegetables is – there are SO MANY of them out there to choose from. You just have to experiment a bit.

The most important benefit is – vegetables are so healthy and healing. You will be amazed when you dive deeper into it. We can’t mention all of them and their benefits here but we will name few:

  • Broccoli – source of vitamins C and K. This food is so loaded with powerful antioxidants and effects will be noticeable in a couple of weeks and your skin will be so grateful to you
  • Carrots – source of vitamin K1 and especially good for eye health and weight loss.
  • Tomato – really good to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and friendly towards your skin
  • Onions – source of antioxidants will help you to reduce cholesterol levels and to fight inflammation

Those are just a few; there are so many others to try out. Variety is especially helpful if you dislike some. Be grateful for this abundance, and simply try other types, and new preparation methods.

What You Eat vs How You Eat

Science is still not clear on which form of diet is the best one and probably we will never have a one-size-fits-all solution. Some people like meat, some function better and feel better on a plant-based diet and that’s just the way it is.

However, the one thing that’s universal for all of us is the way we should eat.

  1. Be grateful for everything you have to eat. There are so many out there in the world who don’t have the basic needs fulfilled. Practicing gratitude is a great way to decrease stress and boost productivity.
  2. Set aside your dedicated time to eat. Sit and focus on the food you eat, making sure you’re chewing it right and eating slowly. Walking and eating is not a good combination, it will lead to many problems down the road.
  3. Don’t eat 24/7. This rule is possibly the most important one to remember. We live in abundance and we’re always chewing on something. Create your personal daily schedule and stick with it.

If you’re older than 30, eating 2 times per day should satisfy your daily needs. If you’re younger, 3 times per day is enough. Of course, those are just guidelines, everyone is different and has different needs. Don’t let other’s nutrition rules dictate what works best for you.

  1. Not eating can be more energizing than eating. Our body spends the most amount of energy on food processing. Remember this next time when you want to eat. If you don’t eat all the time, your body will be so grateful to you and you will have more energy to focus on your tasks.

Plus, you will save your organs in the long run by not overrunning their capacity. This tip will be your best productivity booster.

Conclusion

  • We are all different and it’s impossible to find a ready-made recipe when it comes to food. Nevertheless, we can all agree on certain guidelines.
  • As with any other habit, it’s really important to start small and experiment along the road. At least with food, it’s easy: you have so many choices out there. Small nutrition rules add up!
  • If you’re not sure which foods are the best to eat, we can at least agree on which foods are the worst. The best way to start is by removing bad foods from your system first.
  • In the end, even if you can’t change which foods you eat, you should focus on the way you’re eating them. This will help your system to digest it in the most efficient way and will change your mind state over the long run when it comes to food. You will increase your consciousness and change your ways, which will lead to a healthier and fulfilling life.

It is very important to eat healthy, because it is very important for the skin and overall well-being. I really felt this on myself only recently, when I began to correctly peep and feel more healthy. I read many articles and found a lot of useful information about this. It is especially important to reduce the amount of fat. I lost weight very much and my stomach went out, which I was embarrassed for a very long time. Now I went to the gym and gave a little load. Now I go to the beach without a T-shirt.
