Berry Crazy for Berries
We love berries here at the 131 Method. They’re among the lowest carb fruits out there and contain SO many antioxidants. In this Healthy Berry Crisp recipe, we’ve paired them with oats to make a crumble for your Carb Charge days. This is one class of food that works in all three phases of the 131. Yep-that’s right…you can even have berries in moderation in Ignite (our HFLC phase).
If you’re wondering why we mix keto with carbs, you’ll have to learn a little bit more about our program. Designed to help people break weight losss plateaus using Diet Phasing, the 131 is the “anti-diet.” Most people adjust to any type of program eventually, which stalls weight loss and leads to frustration. The 131 Method relies on three completely different phases (Ignite, Nourish & Renew) to keep the body metabolically flexible. So yep- you can have your cake, and eat it too!
