“Failed” Beta Tester to 41-Pounds Gone
Becky, like some other 131’ers, only made it through two phases of the 131 the first time around. In fact, she was a beta tester for the program back in 2017. Even though she experienced great success in eight weeks, she bailed out before the final phase and remaining four weeks. That happens from time to time. She says, “I fell off the wagon, despite having great success. So when I decided to give it another go, I simply remembered my previous results and dove back in with the program and book. Both motivated me to carry on and finish this time.” This goes to show: failure doesn’t exist if you persevere! Starting and stopping can even be a good thing. When Becky was ready, she did it, and crushed it! This is a reminder that you don’t need to throw in the towel just because you hit a speed bump, don’t finish or hit pause. On the road to losing 41 pounds, Becky employed several new (and beneficial) habits. Her most noteworthy thoughts about the program as a whole include:
1. Eating vegetables for breakfast. They filled her up and made her feel amazing.
2. Being able to know what her body needs and deserves. “Knowing that I can have a cheat meal and feel perfectly fine afterwards.”
3. This program differs from others because the 131 offers choices for what to eat, not someone else’s meal plan.
Pounds Gone, Still Going Strong
Becky says her energy and the changes in her physical appearance have completely transformed her. “I was always very insecure of my body, and now I even have my sisters asking me what am I doing, because I look amazing!”
She continues phasing her meals and workouts to fit her goals and lifestyle. Continuing on past the 12-weeks has allowed her to maintain her weight loss, and stay inspired.
Friends and family members see her progress, but not everyone is ready to commit. The reason? They still have a dieter’s mentality.
