Autumn F. keeps saying, “why didn’t anyone tell me how bad it’d gotten?!” It’s a half-hearted joke many transformation stories admit exclaiming once they begin changing their physiques. But the truth is, most downhill battles happen gradually; so gradually, in fact, that no one seems to catch it until it’s a mountain instead of a molehill. And though Autumn exercised regularly–she teaches fitness classes weekly–she’d allowed the pounds to creep on over time. In December of 2016, her beloved mother passed away from complications due to diabetes. It was a massive wake-up call for Autumn, because her mom’s illnesses could’ve been avoided, or remedied, through diet and exercise. She decided to take action on herself to lose weight right away.
Through the 131 Method, she lost 19-pounds in 12-weeks. However, she notes clearer skin, improved gut health, elimination of brain fog, increased energy and improved muscle tone as equally important victories. “I recently had one of my students in class say that she doesn’t know if it’s the weight, but I have certainly taken it up a notch with my fitness level.” The 131 changed her lifestyle, creating a new normal. That normal is healthier and more aware of food quality and food choices. “I have a heightened awareness of what’s good for me and what’s not.”
Autumn credits meal prepping once a week and meditation for her success, both of which she learned during her 131 lessons. The fact that the video and audio lessons live on her desktop and phone for easy access means it’s easy to re-listen any time she needs a boost. The Facebook page keeps her motivated with posts, informative live broadcasts, recipes and articles. Its a sense of community, which was something she felt she lacked when trying other programs. The community forums also give her a connection to others, as well as access to experts. The free weight loss meal plans helped too!
